IT Business School (ITBS), based in Nabeul, Tunisia, is redefining the higher education landscape in North Africa through a bold commitment to innovation, entrepreneurship, and community impact. In 2025, the institution launched a series of transformative initiatives that have positioned it as a next-generation learning hub.
To foster innovation in teaching and learning, ITBS fully integrated Coursera as an official content provider, giving students access to world-class resources while maintaining academic alignment. A blended learning model has been adopted across programs, and most core courses are now delivered through project-based formats, allowing students to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. The school has also promoted applied research focused on fintech, AI, and sustainability.
Institutional policies have been reimagined to support flexibility and entrepreneurial thinking. ITBS introduced a recognized “student-entrepreneur” status, allowing students to pursue academic credit while building their ventures. An in-house incubator and accelerator were launched to support innovation, complemented by the integration of civic engagement (volunteering) into course evaluations.
Student and faculty development are central to the school’s strategy. Faculty are supported through innovation grants and recognized for pedagogical excellence, while students benefit from interdisciplinary learning, real-world problem-solving, and strong mentorship.
ITBS has also expanded its impact through strategic community and industry engagement. The creation of a Business Angels Club connects students to investors and mentors, while partnerships with companies and NGOs foster real-world collaboration. Open innovation events and volunteering initiatives further strengthen the school’s civic mission.
Through this holistic approach, IT Business School is building a robust innovation ecosystem, empowering students and faculty alike to become agents of transformation in Tunisia and beyond.
