The Euromed University of Fes (UEMF) is a leading institution located in Morocco, serving as a hub for innovation, dialogue, and collaboration across the Euro-Mediterranean region. Its mission aligns with fostering intercultural understanding, sustainable development, and the integration of diverse knowledge systems.
The creation of UEMF stems from a Royal Initiative, with the objective of establishing in Fes a platform for intercultural dialogue, exchange, and cooperation between the two shores of the Mediterranean, with a natural extension to sub-Saharan Africa. UEMF is a non-profit Foundation endowed with Public Utility status and is labeled by the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), supported by its 43 member countries. It is placed under the High Honorary Presidency of His Majesty the King, Mohammed VI, and recognized by the Moroccan State. All its curricula have been fully accredited.
Among its flagship initiatives, the establishment of the Chair on the Alliance of Civilizations, in partnership with the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC), stands out. This initiative promotes intercultural dialogue, research, and education on critical global challenges. The direct beneficiaries include students, academics, policymakers, and civil society organizations engaged in advancing cross-cultural understanding and peacebuilding.
Key objectives include:
· Enhancing the capacities of young leaders in conflict resolution and cultural diplomacy.
· Strengthening research on pressing global issues such as migration, climate change, and sustainable development.
